Autofocus backed by a precision manual focus system provides the ultimate in focusing flexibility. In combination with the legendary Carl Zeiss T lenses, the 645 becomes a tool for production of photographic art. The P25 had a 22mp sensor in the size of 48×36mm (1.1x crop factor), while the P20 had a 16mp square sensor in the size of 36.9×36.9mm.

This was the first range of truly portable camera backs from Phase One which included storage and TFT screen. I was able to capture a few landscapes that I really enjoyed which are attached below. Those memories, those people and you, Mr. Contax 645 camera is an autofocus 6x4.5 cm SLR camera. Phase One P20 and P25 were introduced in 2004. While visiting family in Virginia Beach over Thanksgiving I also brought a Contax 645 with a Phase One IQ250, 80mm lens and 35mm lens.

I know it might sound a little creepy maybe, but this week has changed not only my photographic journey but also my life - for the better. Hell, I would go a second time if I could! This is just a few impressions of my time in England and those talented peeps I was lucky to spend it with. What FIND is, can only be described as "an experience" - one that, if you're interested in film photography and you get a chance to make it, I wouldn't dare you to pass upon. Katie loves using medium format film during shoots and capturing images in her signature soft & romantic style. She loves outdoor Weddings in Vineyards and capturing romantic images of Couples in love. Coming home I felt like crying (cause it was over) and laughing (for being so blessed to have had the chance to go and do it) at the same time. And there are no words to express how much it did. Having read all of his books, I was quite curious on how FIND could make a difference. He hardly ever makes it to Europe, so I jumped right at my seat for the workshop in Norfolk, England. The Contax 645’s viewfinder provides one of the brightest, most contrasty viewing images I’ve ever seen. Jonathan wrote a book, called Film is not dead and has been traveling the world for a while now, teaching photographers the craft and beauty of shooting on film. While the Contax 645 is no lightweight at 4 pounds, 4.6 ounces complete with 80mm f/2 lens, prism finder, back, and batteries, it balances and contours to your hands so well that it feels much lighter. Finally a couple of weeks ago I flew to England for a long awaited workshop by Jonathan Canlas. This year I've been quite a good student, due to the fact that I'm very keen on learning to shoot on good old-fashioned medium format film.

    Most of its sister 645 Pro TL lenses are compatible with the Phase One XF. It is light (compared to other options in this range), compact, and very reasonably priced on the used market.   • If you are in low light conditions, you can still shoot with a higher ISO (shoot at 800 if you have a ISO 400 film) and ask your lab to push the development 1 stop (more could give an uncertain result).
  • Don't hesitate to increase your exposure by 1 or 2 stops, and you will have those creamy earthy tones even in plain sun.
